about cass
Before pivoting into UX, I spent over a decade in retail sales management (a.k.a. the ultimate crash course in human behavior). Balancing customer satisfaction with company profitability wasn’t just part of the job - it was the job. Reading between the lines, solving problems in real time, and turning friction into loyalty became second nature. That experience now fuels my design philosophy: build products that both delight users and drive measurable results.
In 2023, after one too many “there has to be a better way to do this” moments, I made the leap into UX. After earning my UX/UI Foundations certification from Avocademy, I quickly secured a design internship at a brand-new tech-forward startup. What started as an opportunity to learn quickly became an opportunity to lead. By bringing fresh ideas, user research insights, and a strong systems-thinking mindset to the table, I helped reshape the product direction and, within four months, was promoted to Lead UX/UI Designer.
Today, I specialize in end-to-end product design, creating experiences that are intuitive, scalable, and most importantly, human. Nothing satisfies me more than influencing the transmutation of research, ideas, and sketches.
Research and discovery ➡️ personas and user flows
Ideas and concepts ➡️ complex user experiences
Lo-fi wireframes and sketches ➡️ hi-fi wireframes and interactive prototypes
At the core of it all, I design the way I managed my retail teams: listen first, solve thoughtfully, and always leave things better than I found them.
